ACTIVEBUSINESS

ActiveBusiness is a full function, online shopping application and more. ActiveBusiness allows a web site owner to do many things including: inputting items for sale, categorizing them into customized menu items, adding product pictures, descriptions, prices, special offers, etc. But ActiveBusiness is also a whole lot more, managing discount vouchers, stock control and accounting functions with CRM (customer relation management) features.

The flexibility of ActiveBusiness means that virtually the same software can (and has) been used for regular online selling sites and a dating website.

ActiveBusiness is written using the PHP programming language and uses a MySQL database for all the data storage. This give us the maximum flexibility for implementing client web sites on virtually any web server.

Petro-SIM is a full featured non linear oil refinery simulation program for the optimization of oil refinery operations. The software has been in continuous development by KBC Process Technology Ltd. since 1980 and Petro-SIM is its latest incarnation.

Included within the Petro-SIM program are detailed simulation models for distillation columns, reformers, hydrotreaters, FCC units, cokers, hydocrackers, furnaces, product blending and many others.

David Sawers, Activeminds principal programmer has been working on this software package right from the early days. More recently, Activeminds have worked on many parts of this huge package, specializing particularly in the physical properties package and the prediction of oil product properties.

Petro-SIM is mainly written in C++ for a Windows PC platform.
